OOCL opens Kolkata branch office adding to 280 worldwide
ORIENT Overseas Container Line (OOCL) has announced the opening of a new branch office in Kolkata, in the state of West Bengal in eastern India.
The opening of the new office brings the total number of OOCL offices in India to six, with the other five offices located in Mundra, Mumbai, Chennai, New Delhi and Tuticorin. Globally, OOCL maintains a network of more than 280 offices such as OOCL tuticorin office,OOCL india office,OOCL long beach office.
The Kolkata office is intended to further strengthen OOCL's position in the India market, a company statement said.
"The opening of our new Kolkata office is part of our strategic plan for India, and will cater to the diverse needs of domestic and international businesses. We offer exceptional logistics and international maritime transportation services, as well as quality people with a 'take-it-personally' spirit," said Bernard Soh, managing director of OOCL India.
"This office will serve as a gateway for eastern India and for landlocked Nepal. It will allow us to cover the growing market of industrial agricultural produce, to and from East India."
The Kolkata office's liner and logistics service include warehousing and transportation as it is able to leverage OOCL's two weekly container shipping services that call at Kolkata to/from Singapore for transshipment to its global network.
